Fragment (Egypt), 12th–13th century (CH 18424219)

Unbleached plain weave cotton. Design in red and dull brown (possibly faded purple), stylized branch with pointed leaves; curved stem alternates with two types of fleuron formed of flower heads in profile. Remains of border in simple block pattern.
