From left to right, Cmdr. Jason Wartell, assigned to Commander, Submarine Squadron 17; Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Nebraska (SSBN 739) Commanding Officer Capt. Jeffrey Joseph and Commander, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Adm. Cecil D. Haney hold the 2013 Omaha Submarine Ballistic Missile Trophy following its presentation to USS Nebraska. The Omaha Trophy, sponsored by Omaha’s Strategic Command Consultation Committee, is awarded annually to four outstanding units that represent USSTRATCOM’s mission areas, their role in global operations and USSTRATCOM’s continued emphasis on strategic deterrence.
