Ga'an Point Pillbox - National Parks Gallery
Summary
Agat Unit - Asan and Agat Invasion Beaches, War in the Pacific National Historical Park. Located in the center of Agat Beach, this is one of the locations where Japanese defensive structures and artillery were obscured by rock outcroppings and vegetation. This enabled survival of the structures during the initial U.S. bombardment of the island, and these strongholds would be a significant factor in the military events of the ensuing 1944 battle.
