General Eiji Kimizuka, the chief of staff of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force, purifies the Reunion of Honor Monument with water during the 68th Reunion of Honor Ceremony, at Iwo To, Japan, March 13, 2013. The ceremony commemorated the 68th anniversary of the battle of Iwo Jima, during which approximately 30,000 Japanese and American service members lost their lives.
