GULF OF ADEN (Aug. 25, 2015) U.S. Marines and Sailors from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Essex Amphibious Ready Group enjoy a birthday meal aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Each month, Marines and Sailors aboard Anchorage celebrate their birthdays with a fancy dinner. Elements of the 15th MEU are embarked aboard the Anchorage, which is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
