GULF OF ADEN (July 2, 2015) U.S. Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force assist the visit, board, search, and seizure team aboard the amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23) in maintaining proficiency with their weapons. The Anchorage is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
