Gunnery Sgt. Nelson Hammer, the logistics chief with Regimental Combat Team 7, receives an Army Commendation Medal from Col. Barry Beach, the Georgia Agricultural Development Team III commanding officer, RCT-7, here, July 11. 2013. Hammer received the award for ensuring the ADT III soldiers received the gear and logistics required to complete their mission. Hammer, a native of Houston, Texas, said he was doing his job to provide support to the units under RCT-7.
