Halemau'u Trail Switchbacks, 1937

CCC Haleakala Crater Trails District. After months of labor by the CCC crews, the Halemau'u Trail alignment reached the crater floor. Their trail work also included widening the trail, adding guardrails, planting landscaping, building retaining walls, and maintaining completed sections of trail.
