P.A. Twiddy’s Grocery at 156 West Moira Street, at the corner of Frank Street, Belleville, Ontario. Bill Wessels in horse-drawn wagon was their delivery boy. In front of the store stand Mr. & Mrs. Twiddy with three children, two of whom were their sons Lyle (born 1910) and Jack (born 1912). Paul Twiddy lived from 1882 to 1919 and the business was carried on by his widow (formerly Janet Haggarty) after his death. Janet Twiddy died in 1973.
