Hisano Gushiken, Kadena Language Institute student, makes pottery during her internship at the Arts and Crafts Center on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Aug. 20, 2015. Ten KLI students are participating in an internship program which started Aug. 10 and will end Sept. 3 in multiple support facilities throughout the base. The purpose of the internship program is to provide Japanese students the opportunity to experience life in an American community and communicate in English in a work environment.
