was a man with us,w^ho applied for a pension afterwards, he said that the Regimentwas down in such a direction; he insisted on it, and we went ondown there, and by and by a shell came over and lit pretty nearme and went ofif, and he was then convinced that the Regimentwas not in that direction, and we started in some other direction.We found it after a while, and went on and through the ordinaryroutine camp life. I remember the Colonel very well; Ramseywas with us then. He had a black horse. I always thought thatwas a pretty good horse. I never thought so much about theColonel, but I guess he was a good Colonel. I remember whenwe were ordered to move that camp towards the Weldon Rail-road. We w-ent on at a pretty lively pace and found the WeldonRailroad at a place called the Yellow House.
