General Santos, Philippines (Feb. 16, 2007) Hull Technician 3rd Class Juan Melo applies a fresh coat of paint on the wall at Bawing National High School. Amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) and embarked 7th Fleet staff are in the Philippines as part of Project Friendship, a humanitarian assistance/community service project with the armed forces of the Philippines. During Project Friendship the ship's Sailors and Marines are scheduled to participate in friendship building and goodwill generating activities.
