Hurricane/Tropical Storm - Terrebonne Parish, La. , July 15, 2011 -- Hurricane Ike produced an eight foot storm surge that overtopped the roadways and eroded two sections of the South shoulder and a complete loss of the North shoulder. Heavy wave action undercut the North side of the asphalt roadway causing failure of approximately two and one half miles of roadway. FEMA has obligated almost $8 million for road repairs.
