III Corps families and friends welcome home their loved
Summary
III Corps families and friends welcome home their loved ones at the 62nd Signal Battalion building on May 15, 2018 at Fort Hood, Texas. After a nine-month deployment to Kuwait, in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, a detachment of III Corps’ Soldiers returned to the United States. They were received with open arms and smiles after a long flight. The welcome home was short and sweet with Soldiers retrieving their bags and embracing their families before setting off to individually celebrate their long awaited reunion. These are only a handful of III Corps’ Soldiers that were on their way back from CJTF-OIR, and the rest of the corps works endlessly in completing their mission to aid partner forces by providing training, equipment, assistance, and intelligence to Kuwaiti forces in their stand against the Islamic State group.
