Ci.\ni-i>K-i,rxi-: Libation Cups (ChienLung) Ancient inverted-helmet shape on three feet, on body is aof archaic symbols in low relief, two short steins withrounded knobs rise from the rim. A reproduction of thebronze shape of an early dynasty. Covered with an ex-quisite glaze of the faintly-tinted lavender moon-white knownas eltiir-de-lune, the raised portions of decoration beadsand characters having thinner glaze, show lighter and charm-ingly accentuate outlines and patterns. Under vessels arethe seal-characters in relief of reign. Exceptional piecesmade for Imperial use. Height, 7 inches; width, 2% inches.(Illustrated) 85(5 Imikhiai.
