INDIAN OCEAN (Aug. 1, 2015) U.S. Marine Cpl. Glenn Jordan is pinned by his fellow Marines from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, during a promotion ceremony aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
