Belawan, Indonesia (Feb. 03, 2005) Indonesian military personnel render a salute to the High Speed Vessel Two (HSV-2) "Swift" as it prepares to be moored at the pier in Belawan, Indonesia. Swift is transferring water purification chemicals, medical supplies, and rice donated by Mexico to victims of the tsunami that struck Southeast Asia. More than 18,000 Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers and Coast Guardsmen with Combined Support Force Five Three Six (CSF-536), working with international militaries and non-governmental organizations to aid the affected people of Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia after the tsunami devastated the region. A Combined Support Force of host nations, civilian aid organizations and U.S. Department of Defense work to provide humanitarian assistance in support Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian relief effort to aid the victims of the tsunami that struck Southeast Asia.
