She died 10th June 1850. (Vestibule.) The Right ReverendNATHANIEL BOWEN D. D. Born in Boston 29. June 1 779 Consecrated Bishop 8. October 1818 Died 25 August 1839. Revered in his diocese for gravity and w^isdom; He was endeared to his congregation. By benevolence and piety. This Church, which was edified by his pastoral care and saw him adorn the Episcopal office with dignity: now dedicates this Marble, to the memory of his virtues. Whosoever liveth and believethin me, shall never die. John, xi, xxvi. (North Wall.)

Senator from S. C. 1789-1791. 1793- 1796. 1802-1806 Resigned.
