Crew members man the deck of the attack submarine USS BONEFISH (SS 582) as the large harbor tug CHERAW (YTB 802) and two other tugs maneuver the sub into a berth alongside the submarine tender USS FRANK CABLE (AS 40). The BONEFISH was towed to its home port after an on board fire disabled the vessel and claimed the lives of three crew members

Summary

NEW YORK - Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Robert Lynch, a crewmember stationed on the Coast Guard Cutter Bainbridge Island, out of Sandy Hook NJ, educates Intrepid Museum visitors on the fire power used on board August 5, 2012. Intrepid visitors spent the day enjoying demonstrations, special performances and hands-on displays from several local Coast Guard units including a 25-foot Fast Response Boat, Search and Rescue demonstration from a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter.
