Iraqi border station opens modern housing facility

Col. Reginald E. Allen, commander of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, and Hussein Sabry, a contracting engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, with the Iraqi Army and Police Director Generals for Wasit, officially open the new Zurbatiyah Point of Entry Force Protection Facility in a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, Dec. 2. The new facility will house Iraqi Security Forces that are responsible for port security. The completion of this project brings ISF closer to being a self-sustained security force on the border.
