Iraqi national police officer from the Sayafiyah Battalion

Iraqi national police officer from the Sayafiyah Battalion provides security for fellow officers who are searching a home during a joint patrol for illegal weapons in the Gray'at neighborhood of Baghdad's Adhamiyah District, Dec. 3. The patrol confisicated 23 illegal AK-47's, two illegal sub-machine guns, four rifles and two pistols. One person was taken into custody by the police when he tried to flee with an illegal AK-47 instead of turning it over to the proper authorities. Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers from Battery A, 3rd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, and the National Police Transition Team provided support for the Iraqi's, but they did not detain the suspect nor physically search any houses.
