Iraqi soldiers assigned to the 71st Iraqi Army Brigade

description

Summary

Iraqi soldiers assigned to the 71st Iraqi Army Brigade prepare to set up the M224, 60 mm mortar system during weapons training at Camp Taji, Iraq, Oct. 25, 2015. Soldiers with Task Group Taji held a two-day class to teach Iraqi soldiers how to utilize multiple weapon systems issued through the Iraq Train and Equip Fund (ITEF) program. The weapons training, in support of the ITEF, facilitates the counter-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant efforts by the Iraqi Security Forces, and builds the foundation for the new restructured future Iraq army. A very large dataset of various big guns, howitzers, mortars, columbiads, all types of canon-like things - everything besides machine guns and rockets. This collection as well as all massive collections on Picryl.com required two steps: First, we picked a set to train AI vision to recognize cannon artillery, and after that, ran all 25M+ images in our database through our image recognition network. All media in the collection is in the public domain. There is no limitation on the dataset usage - educational, scientific, or commercial.
