Jackson Lake Lodge - National Parks Gallery
Summary
Front of the Jackson Lake Lodge
The site chosen for the lodge reflects planning and design precepts from the Mission 66 period. Buildings from this period were often sited to take advantage of scenic views, positioned at some distance from a primary resource rather than in its midst.
The main lodge was designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood, one of the most accomplished architects in the history of the National Park Service.
