Japanese Minister of Defense Itsunori Onodera is welcomed to the National Ceremony of the Pacific by Gene Castagnetti, cemetery director, Monday, July 1. Brig. Gen. John Hicks, director, Command, Control, Communications and Cyber for U.S. Pacific Command, was also in attendance as Minister Onodera paid respects to American service members who lost their lives, as well as the gravesite of late Hawaii Sen.
