Japanese Sailors assigned to Japanese Joint Task Force

Japanese Sailors assigned to Japanese Joint Task Force await the departure of an MV-22 Osprey from the deck of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopter destroyer, JDS Ise (DDH-182), off the coast of the Philippines, Nov. 27, 2013, during Operation Damayan. During the operation, JTF-505 demonstrated the successful cooperation between partners in the Asia-Pacific, enabled by the forward presence of U.S. military assets.
