P Moosally, commanding officer of the battleship USS Iowa (BB-61), speak with the father of one of the 47 crew members killed in an explosion aboard the ship. The explosion occurred in the No. 2 16-inch gun turret as the Iowa was conducting routine gunnery exercises approximately 300 miles northeast of Puerto Rico on April 19th.
