Kelli Morris, a contractor for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, applies moulage makeup to Lee Hyman to simulate a head laceration in preparation for earthquake-response exercises held May 18, 2011, at the Kentucky Air National Guard Base in Louisville, Ky. The exercises were designed to test the ability of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Kentucky Air Guard to provide medical care following a major earthquake along the New Madrid fault line.
