Lance Corporal Samuel V. Papa, a combat engineer from the Marine Support Squadron #274, Cherry Point, N.C. and STAFF SGT. Barry A. Kellog, a structural craftsman from the 820th Red Horse Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, NV work on the roof overhang of the Ascension Community High School. The school is being refurbished by participants in New Horizon '97, first combined humanitarian and civic assistance exercise conducted between the United States and Guyana. Military personnel from the Air Force, Air Force Reserve & National Guard, Army, Army National Guard and Marine Corps participated in the exercise which included engineering and medical readiness training
