Lance Cpl. David D. Enriquez, a dog handler with 1st Section, 2nd Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, of Edinburg, Texas, stands next to tactical vehicles to provide dismounted security during a patrol in the Task Force Belleau Wood area of operation, May 20. Patrols such as this are common for Company C and often include communication with local Afghans, as well as observation and security posts. Company C Marines also provide security for Patrol Base Boldac and the meetings between coalition forces and local Afghans held there.
