Lance Cpl. Kasey P. Lee, right, speaks with Department of Health officials Nov. 20 in the airport terminal here. Civil affairs Marines, along with personnel from the U.S. Army and Navy, spoke with international aid organizations, community officials and survivors of Typhoon Haiyan Nov. 20 to determine the needs of the affected populace and coordinate assistance measures with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Lee is a civil affairs noncommissioned officer with Civil Affairs Detachment, currently assigned to 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade in support of Joint Task Force 505.
