Summary
Photo date unknown. Laura Keene, famous actress and leading lady in 'Our American Cousin' at Ford's Theatre on April 14, 1865, halted the play when the Lincolns entered the theatre after the start of the play. She ordered the orchestra to play 'Hail to the Chief' and President Lincoln received a standing ovation from the crowd.
