Le bouillon Duval dans le parc du Champ-de-Mars
Summary
The restaurant Duval was one of the many eateries at the 1878 Paris World Fair. It was located next to the École militaire, on the Champ-de-Mars. Visitors from many different countries would come and have lunch there. The article accompanying this print adds that the communication between the waitresses and the (mainly british) visitors was not always easy, as suggested by the puzzled look of the woman serving the group of customers on the right corner of the image.
