Summary
Spencer Pump Parts Pump equipment associated with irrigation systems is still present at the site. Pumping stations were added at different times during the landscape's history and use. Charles Spencer was one of the many individuals who attempted to draw mineral resources out of the area. His particular mining method was to use water pumped from the Colorado River to convert the Chinle clay, which is exposed along this section of the river. Gold would then be separated from the mud.
