Letter from Alanson St. Clair, West Boylston, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 17th August 1837
Summary
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Alanson St. Clair discusses the plans for the upcoming county convention. He then talks about the possibility of working for the antislavery cause fulltime, perhaps for the American Anti-Slavery Society, in the upcoming winter during which he would be out of employment. In the postscript note, he mentions the desire of women in his region to invite the Grimké sisters to the county meeting.
