Letter from Boston Female Anti-slavery Society
Summary
Report of "the committee appointed by the Society to consider the subject of the fair." This report, written by Maria Weston Chapman and other female abolitionists, discusses the raising of funds and remarks, "the committee now appeals to the whole Society to make the burden light by general participation especially they appeal to the 80 new members." The report lists a series of articles that have "always met a ready sale." The second letter, incomplete, has an unknown author written to the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society regarding the death and celebrating the life of one of its members.
