Summary
Parker Pillsbury writes to Francis Jackson about a letter he just received from Lewis Ford. Pillsbury says Ford was "rather acceptable in his labors" and then mentions that Republicans are "disappointed and sickened at the new administration" of President Abraham Lincoln. Pillsbury also comments on the "abandonment of Fort Sumter" and worries that recent events "are fast showing that we have indeed, no government at all."
