Letter from Rowland Johnson, New York, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, [April] 26th 1861
Summary
Rowland Johnson writes William Lloyd Garrison stating that while he does not know what the decision of the Executive Committee will be concerning the May meeting in New York City, it is his hope that the meeting is postponed. Johnson argues that the current public resentment against the abolitionists bodes ill for the meeting if it takes place as planned.
