Summary
Theodore Dwight Weld writes to Amos A. Phelps about Lane Seminary member's attitudes towards slavery. He writes, "Our theological professors are exceedingly anxious to keep us from bringing up the subject to discussion..in due time you may expect to hear..a more favorable Report." He lists the names of those who have signed Phelps' slavery circular and his plans for getting more names. He writes, "Don't forget to get as many names of weight as possible before publishing."
