Local Filipino volunteers prepare the necessary paperwork needed to participate in a Medical Civil Action Program (MEDCAP) located on Basilan Island, just south of the Republic of Philippine City of Zamboanga. Medical personnel from the US Navy (USN) Military Sealift Command (MSC), Hospital Ship, USNS MERCY (T-AH 19), together with non-governmental organizations, are providing humanitarian medical and dental services.
