Local villagers practice putting tourniquets on each
Summary
Local villagers practice putting tourniquets on each other after U.S. Special Forces medics give villagers a basic medical survival class in Pol-e Khumri District, Baghlan province Oct. 28. The villagers only have one doctor in the area and the medical knowledge could keep a wounded villager alive until a doctor or coalition forces arrive to provide treatment. The class included how to use a tourniquet, open an airway and treat a gunshot wound.
