Lt. Cmdr. Michael R. Melia, (left) officer in charge of the Sangin Shock Trauma Platoon, Alpha Surgical Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 15 (Forward), 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) provides guidance to Petty Officer 3rd Class William Register, a corpsman with the Sangin STP, Alpha Surgical Company, CLR-15 (FWD), 1st MLG (FWD), as he administers respiratory assistance to a local Afghan national at the medical facility on Forward Operating Base Sabit Qadam, Sangin, Afghanistan, Nov. 28. The STP provides medical care to service members on the front lines and also Afghan National Security Forces and local nationals.
