Lt. Col. Ricardo T. Player, School of Infantry-East Headquarters and Support Battalion oncoming commanding officer, receives the battalion's colors from the off-going commanding officer, Lt. Col. Taylor and Player both attended Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, following the footsteps of Capt. Fredrick C. Branch, the first African American Marine Corps commissioned officer. "It is my duty to provide the leadership so that H&S Battalion Marines are taken care of in order to accomplish their mission," said Player. "I'm humble, excited and motivated. It's truly an honor to lead this great battalion."
