Summary
Lt. Gen. Larry D. Nicholson recognizes Marines and Sailors of Headquarters Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, at the Camp Schwab Theater, on Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 23, 2015, for over 260 days of liberty with no incidents. Tough liberty restrictions on service members in Okinawa relaxed last year including an extended curfew and eased off-base limitations. Despite the changes, Okinawa liberty restrictions remain notorious for being the strictest in the Corps. “Think of all the things you had to go through to get to where you are today and keep what you’ve earned,” Nicholson said to the Marines. Nicholson, a native of Toronto, Canada, is the III Marine Expeditionary Force commanding general. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Mandaline Hatch/Released)
