Robert Senko, an optometrist assigned to the Military Sealift Command (MSC) hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), dilates the eyes of a patient to check for cataracts at the Police Academy in Dili, East Timor. Mercy is currently off the coast of Dili, East Timor to provide humanitarian assistance and focus medical care to the citizens of Dili. While ashore, Mercy's crew will focus on public health, primary care, dental treatment, preventive medicine, health education and pharmaceutical support.
