NEW YORK (Nov. 09, 2008) Machinist's Mate Fireman Tommy Stanley, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63), who was a finalist on NBC's Nashville Star last summer, performs outside the newly renovated Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan. The Intrepid Museum officially reopened to the public Nov. 8 after a two-year bow-to-stern refurbishment of the famed aircraft carrier, which served in World War II, the Vietnam War and recovery of the astronauts from the Mercury and Gemini space missions.
