Summary
Photo shows the Maine Monument Committee aboard the Wyoming, the battleship which led the fleet during the unveiling ceremonies for the memorial to the battleship Maine, which had exploded in the harbor of Havana, Cuba, during the Spanish-American War of 1898. Members of the committee included: Chairman James Grant Wilson, William R. Hearst, George F. Shrady, John W. Keller, and J. Edward Simmons.
