MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Jack Holder, a Pearl Harbor survivor, prepares to place a lei on Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii near Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Dec. 8, 2016. Holder, a native of Dallas, was stationed on Ford Island, Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack. Holder was in Hawaii attending the 75th anniversary of the Dec. 7, 1941 attacks. After the ceremonies, the Greatest Generations Foundation provided the survivors with a boat ride on Kaneohe Bay where the attack also happened. The Greatest Generations Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of veterans by returning them to their former battlegrounds, cemeteries and memorials to ensure that their legacies are recorded and retold in perpetually to future generations.
