Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit

Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU) conduct insertion exercises using a combat rubber raiding craft. Elements of the 11th MEU embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) are deployed supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
