(Jan. 15, 2010) Marines assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (22nd MEU) embark aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during preparations by the Bataan Amphibious Relief Mission for a disaster response to the nation of Haiti. Bataan departed Naval Station Norfolk to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster response in the aftermath of Haiti's devastating earthquake on Jan. 12, 2010.
