description

Summary

Marines with Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, obtain a BZO (battle sight zero) for their weapons aboard the USNS Lewis and Clark (T-AKE-1) Oct. 3. A weapon is considered to have an established BZO when its optics are calibrated to aim at a point on a target from a certain range and specific to an individual shooter's profile. The Marines are taking part in Exercise Coconut Grove 2012, being conducted October 6-17, in the Republic of Maldives. Coconut Grove is a bilateral training exercise conducted bi-annually between the U.S. Marine Corps and the Maldivian National Defense Force.
